Curcumin

What is Curcumin?

Curcumin is the principle agent found in turmeric and has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine for its anti bacterial, anti inflammatory anti viral and anti fungal properties. It is found in the root of the plant and is responsible for its bright yellow colour. Studies have shown how the curcumin in turmeric can inhibit the compounds involved in the inflammatory response.
